The son of two professors, Bayard had access to University editing equipment at a very early age. After making several unwatchable films in High School, he realized that he had to become a filmmaker. Fortunately, he found editing to be his strong point and left home for film school at 17.

After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelors in Film and Digital Media, Bayard was accepted into the editing program at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. After two years of gruelling work, he graduated with a Masters in Film Editing.

Bayard who mostly goes by "Stryker" is currently residing in the Hollywood Hills. He has spent the last few years as a freelance editor, primarily focusing on extreme sports in High Definition.
